Drones monitor impact of seaweed

Scientists from the University of Birmingham have been working with space agency Nasa to use high-flying robot drones to study the Earth’s atmosphere (VIDEO).Researchers are gathering the data and comparing it to research already collated at the University of Birmingham to see how natural resources – particularly seaweed – are affecting the Ozone layer.

Professor Robert MacKenzie, from the university, said the study was not primarily interested in the impact pollution was having on the Ozone layer – only “natural processes”.
