Regions and cities around airports: UCA a new challenge, a new opportunity

Cities and regions with an airport in their territory face very specific challenges. Coming up is new one: unmanned aircraft, specially cargo one. We can not close our eyes in front of this new situation as it has been the case with other revolutions in “micro-mobility”, therefore ARC is leading common positions to be undertaken by policy makers dealing with the future reality.

Interview with Sergio Alegre Calero

Question 1: What drives you?
Mobility is key in our lives, mobility is under revolution and we must find the way to accommodate all them in the best way.

Question 2: Why should the delegate attend your presentation?
The fully UCAs development is not at the present moment a question of technology if not a social and political question mainly focused in cities and populated regions.

Question 3: What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?
Urban air mobility.

Question 4: What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
To revolution our mobility.

Question 5: What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
Social and political acceptance.
