Space for unmanned cargo vehicles – Presented by Laurence Duquerroy, European Space Agency (ESA) at the Cargo Innovation Conference, which takes place on June 14, 2017, at Maaspoort, Venlo, The Netherlands.

The European Space Agency ‘s ARTES Integrated Application Promotion programme is dedicated to the development of new services using existing space assets (such as Satellite Communication, Earth Observation, Satellite Navigation technologies) combined with terrestrial assets, and demonstrating potential for business sustainability.
The IAP programme is in particular investigating  the use of unmanned (aerial, land and maritime) vehicles for different kinds of applications such as cargo delivery. This presentation is aimed at describing the benefits that space assets can bring to this domain, giving examples of applications, and highlighting how ESA can support European players in the development of these services.

About Laurence Duquerroy
project manager in the Telecommunications and Integrated Applications Directorate of the European Space Agency, Laurence Duquerroy is contributing to the development of new applications and services involving Satellite Communications, Satellite Earth Observations and Satellite Navigation technologies. She is in particular leading projects related to aerial and maritime domains.
