Unmanned Cargo Aircraft; how far have we come? – Presented by Hans Heerkens, Platform Unmanned Cargo Aircraft

Unmanned Cargo Aircraft; how far have we come? – Presented by Hans Heerkens, Platform Unmanned Cargo Aircraft. At the Unmanned Cargo Aircraft Conference, which takes place on June 13, 2017, at Maaspoort, Venlo, The Netherlands.

Unmanned Cargo Aircraft (UCA) are a relatively new phenomenon; the first operational regular UCA service is to be inaugurated this year in Kenya. Organizations like SESAR see great potential in UCA and the basic technologies are there. Why, then, is the introduction of UCA progressing so slowly? In this presentation an overview is given of the ‘state of the art’ in UCA: development programs, business opportunities, challenges and prospects. Some subjects will be: various configurations of UCA, operational concepts and the position of small companies versus established manufacturers.

About Unmanned Cargo Aircraft Conference

Unmanned Cargo Aircraft (UCA) systems are about to bring massive disruptions the transport sector. Stakeholders active in this industry have to adapt their organisation accordingly in order to optimize operations and revenues. UCA offer increased productivity and can open up new markets in areas where manned air transport is uneconomical and geographically limited. The Unmanned Cargo Aircraft Conference brings together technology leaders, cargo operators and end-users to share the status of these exciting opportunities. The conference also addresses the benefits of unmanned cargo for military purpose such as unmanned transport of goods in high-risk areas.

Focus topics: Military Systems;Long Range / Medium-High Payload Systems ; Specialised/Irregular Delivery Systems;Urban Delivery Systems; Autonomous operation architecture; Regulatory issues;New value chains / business models and more…..

The Unmanned Cargo Aircraft Conference is part of the first global multimodal unmanned cargo systems event – a two-day event (Jun 13-14, 2017) that includes 4 dedicated conferences and an exhibition:Cargo Innovation Conference ; Unmanned Cargo Ship Conference ; Unmanned Cargo Ground Vehicle Conference ;Unmanned Cargo Aircraft ConferenceSmart Logistics Expo
