This presentation will provide a glimpse into what the future of logistics looks like using Volocopter’s heavy-lift drone, the VoloDrone.

Question 1: What drives you?
Enabling, new, better and more sustainable logistics solutions through innovative technologies.
Question 2: Why should the delegate attend your presentation?
If you want to understand how drones become part of logistics and an integrated function of supply chains you shouldn’t miss our presentation.
Question 3: What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?
Looking at trends, ever emerging e-commerce with short lead-times is a huge driver for fast delivery vehicles. Of course the demand for carbon-neutral transportation represents a driver for new ways of transport as well. In a short run better battery technology is a driver to provide alternatives to today’s fleets and vehicles.
Question 4: What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
I expect a fundamental change in transportation and logistics networks.
Question 5: What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
Regulation and prejudices are two fields that might slow down new ways of transportation and that have to be addressed.
It has never been more exciting and concrete: Drones are increasingly becoming part of a supply chains!

Luis Perin is Global Business Development VoloDrone at Volocopter. Based in Munich, Luis Perin has 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Born and raised in Brazil, he has started his career as a landing gear systems engineer for Embraer, later moving on to perform business jets marketing and sales activities in the US.
Currently, Luis is responsible for developing new VoloDrone businesses for Volocopter on a global scale. Luis holds degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering, and an MBA degree in Marketing.
