Hans Heerkens, Platform UCA, will speak at Unmanned Cargo Aircraft Conference USA, which takes place on March 20, 2018, North Carolina Global TransPark, USA.
Unmanned Cargo Aircraft (UCA) are a relatively new phenomenon; the first operational regular UCA service is to be inaugurated this year in Kenya. Organizations like SESAR see great potential in UCA and the basic technologies are there. Why, then, is the introduction of UCA progressing so slowly? In this presentation an overview is given of the ‘state of the art’ in UCA: development programs, business opportunities, challenges and prospects. Some subjects will be: various configurations of UCA, operational concepts and the position of small companies versus established manufacturers.
