Unmanned Air Traffic Management will be an essential part in the management of future drone traffic and is a mandatory element for the drone industry to ensure its growth. Unmanned cargo traffic as well as other drone traffic will have to fit into this framework allowing the safe integration of drones into the general airspace. To enable this growth, UTM concepts are being discussed worldwide e.g. NASA UTM concept in the USA and the U-Space concept proposed by the European Commission.
