Drone explores remote Alaskan ice caves video

Stunning short film shows how drones can take us to inhospitable places we’ve never visited before. An unmanned drone equipped with a camera has provided a unique and beautiful insight into Alaska’s remote ice caves.

Bigger Than Ice – Ice Caves was filmed by attaching a GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition onto the DJI Phantom Drone, an aerial drone created by DSLR Pros.

Drones can reach places impossible, expensive – and often dangerous – for humans to navigate. Here the flying filmmaker captures a stunning wilderness of tunnels, waterfalls and icy peaks.

Director Lion El Aton and cinematographer Christopher Carson from Firefight Films created the film. It’s well worth checking out if you want to be transported to a frozen landscape for a few minutes. Watch the video here.
