UAS are increasingly used in a wide variety of applications. Transportation of goods is one, but this activity is subject to considerable regulatory constraints, which are proving a real obstacle to its development. Regulatory constraints vary depending on flight locations and operations are in particular limited due to restrictions affecting automatic flight BLOS. Several countries are planning to adapt their current regulation to this new activity. Beyond this, other legal consideration arise when looking at international cargo operations. This presentation attempts to provide a survey of the current challenges, as well as giving insight into future developments.
