Startupbootcamp HighTechXL 2014 Now Open For Applications

Startupbootcamp HighTechXL has just opened its global search for the world’s best young tech companies. Full details of the 2014 program, to start in November 2014, are now online.

Startupbootcamp HighTechXL has led the way in developing Europe’s first hardware accelerator. They are looking for early-stage high-tech startups developing life-changing technology. That includes the Internet of Things, Advanced Materials, Robotics, Automotive, Energy Storage, 3D printing, Renewable Energy, Life- & Medtech. Last year more than 400 teams applied to be part of this unique accelerator program. This year, the competition is expected to be even greater.

Startupbootcamp HighTechXL is a three month intensive mentor-driven program based on High Tech Campus Eindhoven, home to over 125 world-class companies. Experienced mentors, entrepreneurs, investors, financial advisors and scientists are all involved throughout the program. Everyone has the same goal; to scale the technology developed by the startups into a real business.

Startupbootcamp is building on its impressive success record. The majority of the startups from the 2013 Startupbootcamp HighTechXL program have found launching customers and investors. Many are already generating revenue. After 3 years of the program across Europe 85% of the startups are still going strong. Over 70% have raised investor funding.

Three reasons to apply:

  • Location. Eindhoven is the dream location for a high-tech startup. Read about just some of the reasons on Venturebeat.
  • Network. The program offers the teams access to a unique trusted global network. More than 700 relevant investors, as well as tech and scientific media, academic research and local business expertise. It’s a network where things get done fast.
  • Focus. This accelerator focuses on high-tech; everyone involved has a relevant track-record in this sector. High-tech startups have different needs and dynamics than those building just software. That’s why all teams get help and guidance after they finish the accelerator program.

Online applications to Startupbootcamp HighTechXL are open until September 30. But the program encourages teams to sign-up immediately – it increases the chance of being selected. The accelerator will also be running pitch days in various cities across the globe, as well as accepting remote pitches via Skype. The pitch selection finals are to be held on High Tech Campus Eindhoven in mid-October. The fifteen winners will be announced on October 14.
